李宏信指出，許多民眾較為粗心，只單純將眩暈視為老化症狀的一種，倘若未及時處理，後果影響甚大。眩暈可大致分為三階段，急診期、急性期、慢性期。眩暈急性嚴重發作時，天旋地轉、噁心嘔吐，甚至躺在床上無法起床或站立，此時稱為「急診期」，甚至只好打119送往醫院急診。一般採取打針、打點滴，症狀很快就能解除。但返家後1至2日，若又突然發作，此時則反反覆覆，令人感到恐慌，幾乎無法正常生活及作息，則稱為「急性期」，必須使用更強的藥物，連續治療一周後才能抑制嚴重眩暈。
若輕度症狀而常常發病的患者，則屬於慢性眩暈症，必須持續服3個月左右，使內耳功能恢復正常生理功能，病情穩定才能不易再復發。目前在臨床上「慢性期」會給予患者神經營養、血管擴張以及增加血液滲透作用等藥物，達到防止神經細胞老化及萎縮。故以打通血路、讓血管通暢及血管滲透作用，以促進內耳循環以增進供應氧氣及養分之輸送，重建內耳功能才能成功治療惱人之眩暈症狀。
